This Cyanotype was created with pressed fennel flowers and ferns.
Cyanotype, a unique form of photography dating back to the 19th century, involves using light-sensitive chemicals to create blue-toned prints. The plant matter essentially works as the film in this photographic process. My work is inspired by the landscapes of the Pacific Northwest and everything that grows around me.
Each piece is handcrafted to order and may have slight variations from the exact one pictured.
